Luciana Paoluzzi grew-up in Rome along with her family. Luciana Paoluzzi's father is an Italian Army officer, and Maria Rota Paoluzzi's mother is a former mistress of Benito Mussolini. She does not have any known siblings. Luciana attended a local school before matriculating to the Scientific Academy of Milan in 1955. Luciana was one of only two women in the class. Within two years she started her modeling career. Soon after, she had the opportunity to appear in Three Coins in the Fountain when she was in Rome visiting a close daughter of her father's friend. Her first husband was Brett Halsey who is also an actor. Following their marriage in 1960 and the production of a film together called Return to the Peyton Palace. They had a son named Charles born on 13 June 1961, but they divorced one year after his birth and Luciana was given custody. Luciana and Tony Athony dated between 1962 and 1970. Tony Athony played an actor and producer who was inspired by Luciana's work on the film Green Slime. Based on this, he produced and composed the Spaghetti Western hybrid that became well-known.
